Rowen N. Young
Mr. Rowen N. Young was born
and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended and graduated from Kaimuki
High School and the University of Hawaii. He received his first law
degree from the University of Hawaii in 1980. There he received the first
place award for a tax paper in the Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition and
received the American Jurisprudence Award in Estate Planning.
Mr. Young received his
second law degree from the University of Florida, a Masters in Law, an LL.M. in Taxation. Mr. Young has
been a frequent lecturer on estate and tax planning for various
retirement programs, including Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, financial
planners, insurance companies, labor and credit unions, civic, church,
and professional groups on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and the Big
Island.
Mr. Young is an estate and
trust attorney and has designed and drafted over 8,000 estate plans. Mr.
Young has provided consultation in over 1,500 estate plans. Mr. Young
provides specific individual counseling on Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning
and Administration, as well as other related personal and business legal
matters. Mr. Young is the host of a live, call-in radio show, "Backyard
Estate Planning" heard Saturday afternoons, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on
KHVH, 830 on your a.m. radio dial, and rebroadcast Saturday evenings from
11:00 to 12:00 midnight on KHBZ, 990 on your a.m. radio dial.
